Scottish Country Dancing Iberian Weekend, Algarve - 12 to 14 March 2010
The Algarve Group are pleased to confirm that they will be hosting the 16th Iberian Scottish Country Dancing Weekend from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 March 2010.
The venue will be at the Tivoli Almansor Hotel in Carvoeiro, Algarve, Portugal. For more information on hotel facilities, please see their website www.tivolihotels.com. The ballroom is large with no pillars and provides plenty of space for dancing on carpet. There is a choice of rooms - with and without sea views - to suit your taste or budget.
We have booked Colin Dewar and his band for the music. Colin will be the leader on accordion, Dennis Morrison on keyboard and Gus Millar on drums. The teacher will be Jessie Stuart.
The price for the Weekend will be €212 per person for sharing twin room with sea view or €200 per person for sharing twin room without sea view. For single rooms the price will be €270 per person with sea view or €246 per person without sea view. There may not be a sufficient number of sea view rooms available, depending on the demand. These prices include the room for two nights, two breakfasts, two dinners, one reception and the band and teacher. There will be two walkthroughs and two dancing classes, as usual. Car parking is free. Extra nights with bed & breakfast, before and after the Weekend for registered participants, will be available at the special rates of €55 for twin room and €50 for single room. Sea view will be €12 per room extra.
A deposit of €105 per person for sharing a twin room and €130 per person for a single room is required to be sent by group leaders to our bank before 10 July 2009. Names of participants and rooms required (i.e. twin or single, with or without sea view) to be sent by e-mail at the same time to the Algarve contact below. Bank details will be sent later. The balance will be required by 16 December 2009, together with any special dietary requirements.

1. The number of dancers from your group, who may be coming to the Algarve Iberian Weekend.
2. A list of 9 suggested dances (3 reels, 3 jigs & 3 strathspeys), stating the book in which they are published.
