INFORMATION  FOR  GROUP LEADERS

Torrevieja  is  pleased  to  confirm  it  is  hosting  the  17th  Annual  Iberian  Scottish Country Dancing  Weekend.  After looking  at  a  number  of  sights we  came  to  the  conclusion on  PRICE , function  facilities and decided   going  back to  the  Melia Hotel where  we  know the  facilities  and  price is acceptable.  www.melia-benidorm.com 

We  have  booked  Alan  Gardiner´s  3  piece  band from  Biggar in  Scotland  and  the  teacher is  William  Williamson from  Dumfries.  Many  of  you  may  remember  he  was  our  teacher  at  Alicante in 1999.  Joseph Killeen  who  was  our  teacher  then,  knew  him  personally and  we  all  enjoyed  his  teaching.

The    cost   for  the  weekend  will  be  € 190 per  person sharing a twin room  and € 235   for  a  single.  These   prices   include room  for  two nights, two breakfasts, two dinners ( including wine ) one reception, band & teacher. There   will  be a two  walk  through and  two  dancing  classes. 

If  you  wish  to  park  your  car  in  the  underground  car  park  of  the  hotel we  have  negotiated  a  cost  of  € 7  per  night.  This  is  a  very  good  discount  on  the  normal  rate and  we  advise  those  people  with  cars  to  use  it.

Regarding  extra  nights  before  and  after  the  weekend  the  cost  is € 74  for a  twin  room with  breakfast and €69 for  a single  person with  breakfast.( Still trying to get a better price)

• The  number  of  dancers  from  your  group  who  may intend coming to  the  weekend. 
• A  list  of  9 suggested  dances  (  3  reels   3  jigs &  3  strathspeys ) stating  the  book in  which  they  are  published.

A  DEPOSIT  OF € 100  PER  PERSON   SHARING  A  TWIN ROOM   AND  € 120 FOR  A  SINGLE  ROOM  IS  REQUIRED  TO  BE  SENT  BY  GROUP  LEADERS  TO  OUR  BANK  BEFORE  12th JULY  2010.

Bank  details  will  be  sent  later.    The   balance  will  be  required  by  the  11TH  December 2010, together  with  any  DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
